I walked onto the platform with my trunk, owl, broom and other assorted necessities and looked around for Arie. I was hoping to get a carriage with her and sit down next to her on the train. Was I falling for this girl? I thought to myself, due to the fact that I couldn't think of anything else, and I hadn't slept at all.

Arielle pushed her trolley along to where she would have to catch the train. It was a good thing someone had told her how to get onto platforms nine and three quarters or else she would have most likely never figured it out. She had her trunk and her tawny owl atop of her trolley. She had been wise enough to cover her owl so people would not give her odd looks. She loaded her trunk onto the train and walked along the corridors, looking for an open compartment. She finally found one and sat down in a seat where she could easily look out of the window. She had never been on the Hogwarts Express before and she did not know anyone so she thought that it might be a bit of a dull ride by herself.

I couldn't find Arie so I decided to put my stuff up. I walked to the luggage carriage and started to load up my trunk on top of another when something stuck out at me. The trunk beneath mine had the words, Arielle Sands printed on the side. She was here. I load my stuff and went looking to see if I could find her.

Arielle watched the people on the platform with a sort of longing to be one of the ones who had someone to hug goodbye and to say hello to classmates. Her parents had dropped her off at Diagon Alley the day before and had given her enough money for her supplies, a night at the Leaky Cauldron, and the taxi fare to the station. She had no classmates to be reacquainted with either. It was her first year at Hogwarts. She had left all of her friends back in France.

I walked from carriage to carriage, searching each compartment for a glimpse of the French girl. Finally, after ten minutes of searching, in the last carriage, there she was. She was sitting at the window looking longingly out of it as though wanting something. I slipped inside and sat down next to her before announcing my arrival. "Are you looking for someone?" I asked her as I smiled at her.

Arielle had not heard the compartment door slide open at all. She only looked away from the window when she heard someone speak up next to her. She jumped up a bit as she had not been expecting anyone to come in here, let alone talk to her. She noticed that it was Joe and playfully glared at him. ”You nearly gave me a heart attack.” She said as she clutched her chest.

"Wasn't trying to scare you, just wanted to know if I could sit here with you?" I asked her as I leaned back praying that she would say yes.

"Go right on ahead." Arielle said. It was not like anyone else was going to sit there. She looked out the window once more as people said their final goodbyes. A moment later the Hogwarts Express was pulling out of the station.

I sat in the seat opposite of Arie and looked over at her. "How'd you sleep last night?" I asked her, trying to start up a conversation with her.

"I actually did not sleep too well." she said as she did her best to stifle a small yawn. She was sill tired but up until now she had not felt it as much. But now that they were talking about it it was hard for her to ignore. "How did you sleep?" she asked him curiously.

"I...um....couldn't. I had things on my mind..." I said as I shifted my eyes to the window as the train was swallowed up by the forest.

"Hmm, that is nice." Arielle said only half paying attention. She rested her head against the window and had a half little smile on her face. Her eyelids seemed to get heavier and heavier after each time she had blinked.

"Considering that I was thinking about you." I said as I watched her fall asleep in the train.

Arielle had drifted off to sleep before she had heard Joe's last words. She had a nice dream, though what it was exactly she was not sure. All she really knew was that it was a good one. She smiled slightly as she slept. Suddenly the train jolted slightly. She shot her head up and jumped up and stood infront of her seat with her arms straight down by her sides. It was a reflex of hers. When she was younger she had gone to a boarding school, before she knew she was a whitch and that was how they had to stand when they woke up. Arielle only did that when she was woken up suddenly.
Arielle looked aorund embarrasedly when she realized where she was and what she had done. She sat down in her seat and curled up in the corner slightly. She ran a hand through her hair as a way of trying to straighten it up a bit. "Sorry about that." She said a bit sheepishly to Joe.

"You're fine. What was all of that about though?" I asked her as I relaxed back into my chair, looking at Arie, beautiful as she had just woken from her nap.
