Faye sat on the grass that had finally grew over the past weeks in spring. She was glad winter was over spring was always her favorite season. She gazed up at the star covered sky. It was dark out but with the moonlight it didn't seem that dark. She started to wonder if she would get in some trouble for being out here especially out at such a late hour at that moment she really didn't care she just wanted to relax.

I was bored patrolling the halls when I made a quick detour out into the courtyard...It was a beautiful and clear night sky with the stars em blazing all over the spectrum...The moon was large and bright illuminating the world below....I scanned the area when I saw someone sitting on the grass gazing up at the stars...I decided to walk over to see why she was out so late and obviously breaking curfew...'Hello..may I ask why you are not in your common and out here breaking the school rules.." I asked her as I stood behind her..

She looked at the girl that was asking her why in the world she was out here wasn't it obvious she just thought breaking a few rules and to stay out here was much better then sleeping or so she thought. She smrked at the girl."What can't you tell I'm doing my astronomy homework."She said pulling out her parchment roll and quill.

I shifted my weight onto my right leg and put my hands on my hips.."No need for the attitude love..I was just asking a simple question..." I said glaring at her..."And just for thought..I was only joking with you.."

"I know but no need to smirk about it..Besides on a beautiful night like this who would want to study anything...The sky looks amazing..." I said looking back up as the stars and moon glittered in the sky..

She grinned."Who said I was studying my idea of astronomy homework is drawing the stars and the moon...its simply amazes me how something so far away can still be so beatiful."She says turning her attention back to the sky and then to her. "Come and sit it'd be a better view when you sit."She smiles.

Siren sat on the high branch of the tree staring down at the students below as they gazed at the moon in the opposite direction. Normally she would have stopped their little conversation and demanded an explanation of why they were out after curfew. One of them, she could tell even from that distance, was a Prefect who was obviously shirking her duties. Unfortunately, tonight she could not perform her duties as Headmistress. She was hungry. Dangerously so. It had been days since she'd tasted fresh blood, the artificial pills were losing their potency for filling her appetite, and chocolate wasn't satisying her cravings. She had to have real blood soon or else she'd go mad. She turned to her pat bat, Angel, who had been her companion since childhood and started pleading with him. "Angel! Please. I don't have enough strength to search so far away. Go to the Forest and find a thestral or a horse or anything I can kill. I won't have human blood on my hands...or my fangs." She laid her head back against the tree and silently watched over her students like an angel of death herself. Her face held none of the warmth, smile, or kindness she displayed for Hogwarts but the cold, hungry, desperate look of a starved beast. At this moment she was beautiful....and deadly.

"Sure why not but only for a bit..i do not want to get caught not doing my duties..since people are always out and about you know.."..I said as I sat down next to her.."And you are right..It is so beautiful..It is a disgrace though the illusion we get as they seem so close that if you are in sky they are only an inch to away to come down to the reality that you will never ever come close to a feel..."

Siren painfully laid her head back against the trunk of the tree she was inhabiting. Her reserve was starting to fail her, and the more she watched her students below her, the hungrier she became. her eyes began to glow a dull red, the color of blood, and her breathing quickened. Soon, before she knew what was happening, she'd climbed to her feet on the branch and was about to dive into the midst of the Courtyard. Luckily, at that precise moment Angel, and his sister, Infinite appeared clicking wildly and sending her waves. She shook her head and the red of her eyes were replaced with the regular brown as the blood lust cleared somewhat from her system. She followed them and pounced upon a wary thestral, who's cries pierced the night before it died in her strong arms as she hungrily drank deeply of his blood.
