Raven walk around the grounds she had no idea where he was heading but atthat moment shewas just bored of being stuck up in the castle and had decided to go out for a change.
She looked around and noitced that she was heading towards the lake. she continued to walk until she finally reached the shore and just sat down picking up little stones and skipping them across the lake.

Arielle was walking around the lake. That she had been able to find on her own. It was hard to miss a large body of water such as this. She was walking around, not really paying much attention to anything. She was humming a song she knew as she walked. She kicked a rock here and there as she walked. She was enjoying the sound of the water rippling as the wind blew upon it and the birds chirpinkg in the rustling trees. She walked past a few people on her way and finally made her way to a flat rock right by the water's edge. She sat down upon it and watched as a girl threw rocks into the water not far away.

She yawned and continued to skip rocks not really paying attention to her surronding she wasn't even sure why she had come out in the first place. After a few minutes she stopped skipping rocks and just let her head fall back looking up at the sky watching the clouds go by.

Arielle had been watching the girl and decided to try and skip some rocks of her own. While still sitting on the rock she picked up a small rocked and getly tossed it out across the lake. The rock hit the water once and sunk down. She kept on trying however. She had always wanted to learn how to skip rocks but had never been able to before.

The splashing of the water and the sound of rocks being thrown had sort of snapped her out of her little trance that she had been in and turned around to see who it was that was throwing those rocks.
She noticed a blond girl the same age as her and decided to go say hello so she got up and walked to where she was.
"Hello.."She smiled.

Arielle was starteled when she heard someone else speak up so close to her. She looked over and saw that it was the other girl that had been by the lake. "Hello" She replied with a smile. She was not the best at making conversation with people whom she did not know yet so she left it at that, trying to think of what else there was to say.

She smiled and started to wonder about how to start the conversation so she just started out with the basics. She was never really good at starting conversations so she just extended her had toward her."I'm Raven Otonashi are you new here?"

It would take Arielle a while to get used to these new customs they seem to have over here. She had never really shaken hands back at home. Only men did that. But Arielle was in a different place and she had to get used to it eventually. "Oui, I am. My name is Arielle." She said, accednetally slipping in the French word and accent as she shook Raven's hand.

She smiled letting her had fall to her side."Nice to meet you Arielle what house are you in?"She asked her finally starting to get a good conversation going....well starting one at least. Well its always nice to meet someone new and maybe she ould help her get to know around the castle.

Arielle looked at the crest swen onto her robes. "I was sorted into Ravenclaw. Though why I am not so sure." Arielle had heard from others that Ravenclaw was supposed to be the house for the smartest students in the school. Arielle had never really been all that bright, she had to work extreamly hard to get any sort of decent grade. And yet, for some reason she had been sorted into Ravenclaw. "What house are you in?"

She glaces at her robes and finally noticing her colors of the robes."Well don't worry about it the house you were sorted in doesn't define who you are, trust me I would know since I was sorted into Gryffindor....I swear sure I'm brave and courageous at times but I would rather being doing something else like reading."She nods.

Arielle shrugged her shoulders in a very unlady like manner. "Well, the Sorting Hat knows best I suppose." Or at least that was what she had been told after voiceing her objections immedeately after having been sorted.

"I am in my sixth year." Arielle said simply with a smile. She was glad that her robes were in such a way at the moment so that her silver prefects badge did not show. She was not sure how she felt about that. She had just gotten to this school and she had already been made a prefect. It was odd. "How about yourself?"

She smiled it was good to know that her thoughts about her being the same age as herself came out to be true."Well were in the same year isn't that something...anyways besides having doubts about what house you got sorted to how do you like hogwarts so far?"She asked as she took a seat besided her.
